Garry Burness has held his AAA ranking as a PGA Teaching Professional for the past 15 years. Having turned professional in 1978 Garry's career in the golf industry now surpasses 30 years. Garry brings a wealth of experience to The Heritage Golf & Country Club having previously been involved in the management as well as coaching at some of the leading golfing facilities in Australia such as Sea Temple Golf & Country Club, Paradise Palms and Indooroopilly Golf Club. His coaching career began in 1994 after 10 years of playing golf tournaments throughout the world. During his time as a player Garry had the opportunity to observe many of the world's best players and listen to their coaches. His observations during this time, has lead him to the pursuit of a greater understanding of the intricacies of the game of golf, specifically the golf swing. Garry has had the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's best golf coaches in conjunction with regular attendance at coaching summits with the leading teachers of the world. This has enabled him to increase his knowledge base to such a level he is able to develop all types of players from the raw beginner to the elite with every stage of their game. Philosophy Garry believes all players deserve the opportunity to improve their golf game, but it must be done in a way that uses their talent and suits their lifestyle. Each student has different aspirations and it is his greatest desire to help them reach their goals through helping them to understand the concepts of the golf swing and how it relates to them individually.
