PGA Teaching Professional
Originally from New Zealand, Martyn moved to Australia in 2001 to further his career as a full time Teaching Professional and Club Fitter. In 2002 Martyn won the prestigious award of #1 Club Fitter in Australasia for Henry Griffits. He went on to complete his thesis on club fitting in 2003 thereby gaining Master Club Fitter Status. In September 2005 Martyn was offered the opportunity to become part of the teaching staff at the Heritage Golf and Country Club which he readily accepted. Having already established his reputation as a highly ranked Coaching Professional and Club Fitter throughout the Eastern region of Melbourne, it was no surprise he went on to attain the position of head coach within two years of his original appointment. Martyn finds The Heritage provides a tremendous facility to expand on his instruction to his students. With two uniquely diverse golf courses; the parkland styled St John and the links styled Henley; he is able to take his students to the next level, which is to take what they have learnt on the range and apply it to the two uniquely different courses. Martyn is a highly sort after Teaching Professional with students seeking his experience and expertise in instruction not only throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria but also extending to past students travelling from as far away as New Zealand for instruction.
